Audible is Amazon’s audiobook subscription service, popular for its huge collection and monthly credits—but it’s not cheap at about $14.95/month after a free trial. Maybe you joined for a one-time listen, or you’ve had enough of monthly charges piling up. The good news: canceling Audible can free up your budget, especially if you’re not making the most of those credits anymore. This guide will walk you through canceling on desktop, iOS, and Android so you can get it done without any extra hassle.

How to Cancel Audible Subscription on Desktop

  1. Go to audible.com (or your country’s Audible site) and log in.

  2. Hover over your name in the upper-right corner.

  3. Click Account Details or Account Settings.

  4. Under your membership info, click Cancel Membership or look for the option near "Switch Membership".

  5. Audible may offer special deals to stay—scroll down and confirm cancellation to finish.

A tip: Sometimes Audible hides the button behind offers like "pause instead of cancel". Just keep clicking through until you see the final confirmation screen. When you cancel, any unused credits disappear—make sure to use them before canceling!

How to Cancel Audible Subscription on iOS

If you subscribed using your Apple ID:

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.

  2. Tap your Apple ID at the top.

  3. Tap Subscriptions.

  4. Find Audible in the list.

  5. Tap Cancel Subscription.

Heads up: Refunds for Apple subscriptions go through Apple, not Audible. If you don’t see Audible, double-check which Apple account you used.

How to Cancel Audible Subscription on Android

If you signed up through Google Play:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app.

  2. Tap your Profile Icon (top right).

  3. Select Payments & Subscriptions.

  4. Tap Subscriptions.

  5. Find Audible and tap to cancel.

If you can’t find Audible here, make sure you’re signed into the right Google account. You can always go through the web process as a backup.
