Amazon Music makes streaming easy, with everything from podcasts to a deep music catalog. But when you’re ready to cancel—maybe you’ve moved to another platform, want to save money, or your trial’s ending—it can feel oddly complicated, especially if the regular “Cancel” button isn’t showing up. This guide covers every route: desktop, app, Apple/Google Play, plus fixes if their system isn’t cooperating.
How to Cancel Amazon Music on the Website (Most Reliable)
Log in at amazon.com or amazon.com/music/settings.
Click “Account & Lists” (usually top right), then choose “Your Memberships & Subscriptions”.
Scroll to find “Amazon Music Unlimited” under active subscriptions.
Select your plan, then click “Cancel Subscription.”
Work through all prompts until you see a final cancellation confirmation.
Tip: Sometimes Amazon will try to offer you discounts to stay. If you’re sure, keep clicking “Continue to cancel” and finish the process.
How to Cancel Amazon Music in the App
On Android:
Open the Amazon Music app and tap the settings (gear) icon.
Select “Amazon Music Unlimited.”
Find “Subscription Renewal” and choose “Cancel Subscription.”
Confirm all the way through.
On iOS:
You can’t cancel through the iOS Amazon Music app itself—use your mobile browser to access amazon.com and follow the website steps above. If you subscribed via the App Store:
Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions.
Find Amazon Music and tap Cancel.
How to Cancel via Apple or Google Play
If you subscribed through Apple or Google Play, you MUST cancel in their own settings:
Apple: Go to iPhone Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions > Amazon Music > Cancel.
Google Play: Open Play Store > Profile > Payments & Subscriptions > Subscriptions > Amazon Music > Cancel.
What To Do If It Won’t Cancel
Try Desktop Browser: If the app isn’t cooperating, log in through a computer—the cancel option almost always appears there.
Check Your Original Sign-Up Channel: If you signed up via Apple, Google, or another provider (like Verizon), you can only cancel through them—not Amazon’s own app or website.
Contact Amazon Customer Support:
Visit the Amazon Help section under “Digital Services and Device Support.”
Start a chat or phone call, explain your situation, and ask them to manually cancel your music subscription.
Personal tip: I once had a subscription stuck from a device promo and Amazon support fixed it over chat in under 15 minutes—sometimes issues are just a glitch on the backend.
What Happens After Cancellation
Your subscription stays active until the end of the billing period, but you won’t be charged again.
Downloads may disappear when your plan ends.
No refunds for unused days—so cancel before the next renewal.
Pro Tip: Track All Your Subs With SubSweeper
Managing music and streaming subscriptions can get messy fast. That’s why I created SubSweeper. It tracks every active and trial subscription you have (music, streaming, fitness, whatever), reminds you before renewal, and lets you cancel in time—no more hidden fees or surprise charges.I built SubSweeper after realizing I’d paid for Amazon Music and Spotify for months without noticing. Now, I see it all on one simple dashboard and don’t pay for anything I don’t use.
To cancel Amazon Music, use their website or your app store settings (depending on your sign-up). If you can’t find the cancel button, try desktop, check your provider, or reach out to customer support. And for hassle-free sub management, SubSweeper keeps you one step ahead every month.
